The French Revolution was a terrible event. It was a period where the people challenged the King to get there freedom. It was a major changing point in our world. -
Causes of the French Revolution
there were many causes of the French Revolution. Thes included bankrupcy, bad harvests, ect. The one main cause was the pore leadership.(Notes) -
France is Bankrupt
France was one of the most powerfull governments in the world. Now because of pore leadership they aren't. They are now one of the worst governments.(Notes) -
Bad Harvests
along with the poor lerance hada terrible harvest. There was no food. No shelter or a place to live. France was at an all time low.(Notes) -
Royal Family
TheRoyal Family wasn't the best. The King couldn't lead well. The Queen was stingy and unpleasent an they sent the country into poverty.(Notes) -
Bad Leadership
King Louis XVI was a terrible leader. He lead France into bankrupcy and drove the government into the ground. He was the reason France had the revolution.(Notes) -
The National Assembly
The National Assembly was made up of the 3rd estate. They wanted the same rights as the first and 2nd estates. They decided to form a group to help get equal rights.(Notes) -
Tennis Court Oath
Tennis Court Oath was the oath that they would finish the D.R.M. It was eventually signed by the King. They met at a tennis court because the King locked them out of there room.(Notes) -
Storming of Bastille
The storming of Bastille was the official start of the French Revolution. The citizens were tired of how the King was running the country. They revolted and stored the castle to get the gun powder that was inside. (Notes) -
Bread March
The bread march was because of the shortage of food.Thousands of women marched to the Kings castle. they wanted the King to sign the Declaration of the Rights of Man and they wanted bread.(Notes) -
Declaration of the Rights of Man
The Declaration was created to give equal rights. The people had to force the King to sign it. It was finally signed on Oct. 5th, 1789. -
The Royal Escape
The N.A. kept forcing the King to sign laws giving more and more power to the people. So one night the King took his family and used the dark to hide them. Just before the King was free in tghe country of Austria he was spotted.(Notes) -
Death of King Louis XVI
King Louis XVI was a pore leader.He took France into bankrupcy and wouldn't give them food. As a result King Louis XVI was beheaded on January 21, 1793 to the guillotine. When the King had fallen many countries around France declared war on them.(Notes) -
Reign Of Terror
When the war started the N.A. was losing to the Austrian and Prussian army. As a result the N.A. started killing anyone who was against the Revolution. The reign of terror ended with Maximillion being sent to the guillotine.(Notes) -
Results of the French Revolution
After the Revolution France went through many wars. They won those wars so the Revolution was still alive. They batlled Austria and Prussia.(Notes) -
Napolean Bonaparte
Napolean became the dictator of France after the Revolution. He took over most of Europe. He gave each member of his family a country to own after he took over.(Notes)
