Sparking the Revolution
Charles-Alexandre de Calonne was controller general of finances in France. He proposed the idea of eliminating the budget deficet by having the prelates and great noblemen pay higher taxes. They refused, so they called upon the Estates-General which represented the clergy, the nobility, and the Third Estate (the commoners).The efforts made by Calonne successors to enforce the reforms in spite of resistance by the privileged classes led them to "revolt" which forced the king to recall the act. -

The tiers 'etat swears not to leave until a new constitution is established.
The refusal of the clergy and nobility to give the tiers 'etat a representation in the States-general proportioned to their actual numbers had an important influence in bringing on the French Revolution of 1789. -
Storm Of Bastille
Revolutionaries stormed the prison of bastille. they did not do it to free the seven prisoners but to get weapons, more specificly guns and the prison had tons. -
The Governer of Bastille is Dead
The governer wanted to arrange a ceise-fire where he would supply guns if there was no more raiding. The revolutionaries refused instead they killed, behaded, and put his head on a spike, after long thought. -

Marie Antoinette was accused of hoarding bread. she wasnt but this encouraged King Louis and her to escape and flee to another state. -
New Constitution
When the king and queen where caught fleeing France they were forced to go back . Since the fled the national assembly assumed the resigned. They took upon themselves to write a new constituition. -
King Louis is Decapitated
King Louis was arrested, held in the Temple prison with his family, tried for high treason before the National Assembly. He was found guilty and an enemy of the state. for ruling a monarchy. -
Marie Antoinette is Decapitated
Marie is arrested for crimes against the state for ruling a monarchy.she is taken to the prison ocober 15th. She is beheaded on the 16th. -
First French Military Draft
The French are at war withn most of Europe because Prussia decided to try and restore the French monarchy. Now with Louis dead they cant restore anybody and also the french army is alot bigger than it was , because they had their first military draft ever. -
Napoleons Self Crowning
When France started to win the war and it looked like the revolution was going to win. Napoleon decided to crown himself Emporer even though the whole revolution was to get rid of monarchies.
