During France's hard times,Napolean took over by overthrowing the DIrectory. Then the directory was replaced by three- member consulate, in which Napolean was the first consul declaring himself as the head of the state. -
Coronation of Napolean Bonaparte
Napolean was crowned after a thousand years becasue he conquered Europe. The coronation took place on December 2, 1804. For the ceremony of the coronation, Napolean hired Jacques-Louis David to draw the coroantion on canvas. Now the French Government was taken over by Dictatorship.
