King Louis XVI calls body into session to approve a new tax on the 3rd estate . Had not met in 175 years. -
3rd Estatre refused to abide by the kings one vote for each estate order
The 3rd estate, which had the most representitives, were only allowed to vote one time and were usually outvoted 2:1 by the other estates. b/c king Louis did not change laws to be more fair they proclaimed themselves legislature with right to make laws up for France. > National Assembly. -

When King Louis locked the 3rd Estate out of their usual metting place so they resorted by saying they would hold thier meeting in an indoor tennis court and no one would leave till the constitution for France was written. -
The Storming of the Bastille
the king had sent troops out and was thougt to be used for force on the revolutionaries, the members of the National Assembly wanted to be armed and ready so they setout to seize the Bastille. > an old prison that was then used to hold weapons . -
