    The French and Indian War was apart of a larger global conflict called the Seven Years War. French and British had the most territorial disputes within North America during this war. Both countries wanted to access the profitable fur trade business, and the cheap fertile land west of the Appalachian Mountains. British lost most of the initial battles, but they won the war. The war caused relations between Colonist and British to worsen. Colonist were angry in 1763,taxes they were forced to pay.
