The Start
James Farmer creates the Freedom Riders. -
First Training
First meeting for the Freedom Riders. They are warned that they might be killed, after hearing this only 13 volunteers are left. The rest go home. -
First attempt
The first Freedom Ride starts. They are met by mobs who gave them harsh beatings. Their were two trains and both were met by mobs who beat them and seriously injured them. -
The Second Bus
When the second bus arrives, the KKK attack them and injury them badly. Bull Conner allows the Freedom Riders to be beaten up and even killed by the Klu Klux Klan. -
The Bombing
When the first bus full of Freedom Riders arrive, they are met by bombs being thrown through the windows. Everyone on the bus attempt to escape. The second bus follows shortly. -
Freedom's Victory
General Robert Kennedy sends state troops to protect the Freedom Riders. The Freedom Riders have done their job well by protesting peacefully. They forced all the states to focus on the rights of the blacks. Of course, this group did many other great things. With the help of other peaceful protest groups, strong and brave leaders, the world changed and became a better place. -
The Way to Victory
Nearly a month later, the states enforce Supreme Court's rule of regarding segregation in states that refuse to accept blacks. This is a great victory for the Freedom Riders and other protest groups. Many states are happy, while some are still mad about this happening.
