Lost land
In the late century Britain claimed the lands of Australia because they assumed nobody owned them. Some islanders like Eddie Mabo challenged this.Terra Nullius was racist so in 1993 the Indigenous Australians claimed their rights. -
The Bulletin
In May 2000. 250 000 people walked across Sydney Bridge Harbour Bridge and up to 400 000 marched in Melbourne in December. Many of these marchers carried signs and banners because the Prime Ministers refusal.
