The First Crusade
In the first crusade, also known as the people or peasants crusade, the western Christianity military was trying to regain all the holy land that were taken in the Muslim conquest. Peter The Hermit was going around preaching to get people to join the crusade on the Christians side. -

Second Crusade
This crusade started because of the fall of the county of Edessa. It was led by Louis VII of France and Conrad III of Germany, both of their armies marched separately and both got defeated separately by the Seljuk Turks. This crusade was a failure to the east and a great victory for the musllims. -

In the third crusade, The Kings Crusade, the European leaders were trying to reconquer The Holy Land from Saladin. -

This crusade was intended to capture Jerusalem by invading egypt. But instead they conquered the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire and a Christian city, Contanstinople. -

This is named the childrens crusade becuase a young German boy had an idea of making all the muslims in the Holy land convert to christianity pecefuly. -

Fifth Crusade
In this crusade they were trying to conquer Ayyubid state in Egypt and then conquer Jerusalem & the rest of the holy land. After they acquired the port of Damietta they were trying to go to Cairo but they didn't have enough supplies to keep on going so they had to go back.
