Proclamation of 1763
One event that led to the Proclamation of 1763 (ban of settlers from moving West of Appalachian Mountains) was Pontiac's Rebellion. A Native American Chief named Pontiac led many violent attacks against the British. This is connected to the Enlightenment by the ideas that include natural rights and a social contract. -
Boston Massacre
Britian's authority on many acts such as the Stamp Act and Declatory Act eventually led to the events such as the Boston Massacre and Boston Tea Party. This connects to the Enlightenment idea of revolution. -

Americans hope of beating the British was diminished. This caused an outrage and one man named Daniel Shays stepped up. This connects to revolution and natural rights. -
