He also wrote another piece, "The Second Treatise of Government" Which covers governmental politics and that the power lies in the people, the Social Contract is also mentioned. The most revered of his writings is "An Essay Concerning Human Understanding" Which covers the reach of a humans understanding to things, what one can and cannot understand.

    Baron, another Philosopher however he was more in the political realm of Philosophy. He had one famous theory that challenged or support despotism, depending on the persons situation with despotism. His theory was in short, that if one person ruled, it would surely lead to a dark path. However, if the government was ruled by several people that followed the rule of law, then there would be a successful government. He contributed greatly to the government of the enlightenment age.

    The two treatises of government was made by john locke anonomously. The book is split into two parts, the first treatise, and the second. The book seems to counter, or go against what others have said in the past. The first part is about sir robert filmer and his book, "patriarcha". Locke counters this book with the first treatise.
    The second part is his countering of thomas hobbes with the book he made, "leviathan".

    Voltaire is only a pen name of this man, his real name is François-Marie d'Arouet. Voltaire was a playwrite, author, poet, and many other things in the writing genre. He played a crucial role in the 18th century enlightenment age, he mostly stood up for science. He diferentiated two things, philosophy, and science. His public campaigns were for defining the differences between the two.

This was the age where the blindfolds were taken off and humanity began growing. Many known people were apart of this life changing event, some you might even know.

    Throughout time beyond the age of reason, people picked up a few things from that time. Documents such as the Declaration were influenced by past philosophers, such as john locke. The bill of rights was another that was influenced by the age of reason and people in that time. The age of reason could be seen as a crucial time of humanity, where we broke out of the chains of a single leader, and decided to think for our own selves.
