    The Dust bowl started with droughts. No rain created a lot of dust storms in the southern Plains.

    President Franklin D. Roosevelt elected as U.S. president.

  • Emergency Banking Acte

    The Emergency Banking Act was created to help farmers have mortgages, and stabilized the banking industry.

  • Farm Credit Act

    The Farm Credit Act helped set up local banks for credit.

  • Soil Conservation Services

    The Soil Conservation Services allowed the government to go in and help save the soils of the farms.

  • RAIN

    Rain finally came, ending the Dust Bowl.

  • Farms were healed

    By this time most farms were renewed and running normally.
