It told them that he would come back to meet them to help them find an wasier way over a small mountainous area in the desert. -
Last Note from Hastings
The note tols them that it would take them two days and two nights to get across a desert area to get to the closest water source. -
James Reed banished
James Reed was going to be exicuted but Gerorge Donner, the leader, decided they would simply banish him for murdering John Hinders wagon driver. -
The first Snowfall
This was the first of the 9 blizzards the Rocky mountains saw that winter. -
Thanksgiving Day
By Thanksgiving day the immigrants had made it to Kent Lake. They had tryed to get over a large bluff, but it was to dangerous and cold so they turned back and made camp by the lake. -
The Forelorne Group
The group of the strongest men and women left with two indians as guides to try to make it out of the mountains and get help and food for the others. -
New Years
Everyone speny the New Year hungry, cold and weak. The First rescue team eas sent out on the first. -
All Safe
All of the living immagrints, including James Reed, were out of the mountains and saftely in California almost a year since they left Chicago.
