Girls including Abigail Williams dancing in the woods when Paris stumbles across them. Paris is scared when caught being there and denys seeing anything through out the entire play. Abigail tells Tituba about wanting a charm to kill Goody Proctor. -
Betty's 'Possesion'
Betty is found asleep or 'possesed' and trys to jump out window. Paris says not to make any of this known. Paris is here concerned about his reputation. And does not want anyone finding out. -
Reverend Hale Arrives
He is called upon to find witches and cure them. He is a very sensible man and trys to get the goodness out of people. He knows for the most part whats really going on later in the play. -
Betty calls out witches in Salem
Betty begins to act crazy and calls out all witches in Salem. Which leads to a chain of crazy events where everything is linked to one or two witches called out. -
Mary Warren plants poppet
The house maid Mary Warren planted a poppet in the home of the Proctors so Elizabeth would be found as a suspect of witchcraft. -
Elizabeth taken into custody
Abigail stabs herself with a needle and blames it on goody Proctors spirit. And when a needle is found in Mary Warrens gift to the Proctors. Elizabeth is taken off. -
Proctor confesses
Proctor is done with this acting and he does not want his wife to die. So he confesses to lechery. -
Proctor says God is Dead
When he realizes there is no way out and no reasoning with these men in a sensible way he practically kills himself when saying God is Dead! -
Elizabeth is told to talk Proctor into confessing
The belief of the people is that if Proctor confesses to witchcraft that others will to and be cleansed. So Elizabeth is talked into telling Proctor to confess. They also do not want to hang the most popular guy in the town. -
Proctor Hung
Proctor does not confess and proves a great point. But to no avail these men were stubborn. And due to the foolishness on jealousy of one insane girl Proctor is Hung.
