Disney Releases First Major Motion Picture

Disney Becomes Publicly Traded
In 1940, Disney issues its first stock for sale for the Mickey Mouse Production sector of the company, making it a publicly traded company. It wasn't until 1991 that the company joined the Dow Jones Industrial Average. -
California Hosts Location of First Disney Park
In July 1955, the Disney Company created its first of many theme parks in Anaheim, CA, named Disneyland. According to the 2013 Global Attractions Report, in 2013 more than 16.2 million park hoppers enjoyed the sights of the park. Reaching New Audiences

Florida Welcomes Disney
In 1971, the area immediatly surrounding Orlando, FL is constructed to complete the Disney Company's second domestic theme park, Disney World. In addition to the park, two hotels were built. Disney Launches First Cable Television Station

Disney Opens First Europe Location

Expansion in Asia Continues
Due to dramatic customer increase at the Toyko location, Disney creates a second theme park in Asia, named Hong Kong Disneyland. The Chinese venue is the smallest of all the Disney parks, with a 34,000 person capacity. See the park here!
