    This was an attempt by the Soviet Union in 1948 to limit the U.S.A.'s, Great Britain's, and France's ability to get to their parts of Berlin. The blockade was broken with a massive airlift of supplies from the U.S.A. and Great Brittain.

    Formally known as the treaty of friendship this was an alliance pact signed between Poland, central and eastern Europe, Eastern Bloc socialists republics, and the Soviet Union. This was during the cold war in May of 1955.

    Also known as the Hungaria uprising was a protest to the Hungarian People republic and its Soviet policies. It lacked a leader at first but soon became a major threat to the Soviet policies.
