    The Confederacy began to fall because of transportation problems anad because the trengthening of blockade. Once the blockade became successful the food supply shortened and people on the South began to starve, and once the people in the South were starving their Army started to starve as well. This resulted in a shrinking Army and decrease of population in the South.
