Death
This is the day that Azaria Chamberlain died during a camping trip in Uluru, Northan Territory, Australia. Her parents claiming she was taken by a Dingo from their tent. -
Clothes Found
Some tourists find Azaria's torn up jumpsuit, booties, singlet and nappy near Ayres Rock/Uluru. -
Coroner Report
Coroner Denis Barritt finds that a dingo had infact killed Azaria but someone unknown had later interfered with the evidence (clothes). -
2nd Inquest
The second inquest begins. -
Lindy Chamberlain Imprisioned
Lindy Chamberlain was tried for murder and was convicted on 28th October 1982 and was sentanced to life imprisonment. -
Evidence Found
In 1986, a piece of evidence was found, which happened to be a piece of Azaria's clothing was found in an area full of Dingo dens. This ended up in the release of Lindy Chamberlain from prision. -
3rd Inquest
In 1995 a third inquest was conducted which had failed to determine a cause of Azaria's death and resulting in an 'open' finding. -
Book
A book was released by John Bryson called 'Evil Angels' on the story of Azaria Chamberlain. -
Opera
An opera was created called 'Lindy'. -
Legally Declared Dead
On the 12th June, 2012, a coroner delivered her findings that Azaria Chamberlain had infact been killed by a dingo. A death certificate was issued immediately.
