Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was the first rule that the colonists broke. What it did was the colonists could not go west of the mountains. This angered the colonists because they fought for that land. That is why they broke it and why other events/ rules formed. -
Stamp act
What the stamp act did was it taxed certain items to a very high extent. This was to raise money for the British. On the other hand, the colonists were angered by this because they felt like they were slaves and were taxed crazily. This event slowly increased the tension between the British and the colonists. -
Boston massacre
The Boston Massacre was the response to the taxation. They protested and yelled and insulted Britain soldiers. There was a word someone said, "fire!" so the soldiers fired. The colonists thought the British said fire and the British thought the colonists said fire. This caused more tension and conflict between the two -
The Tea act
What this did was it taxed tea. It may not seem so bad but tea is part of the colonists culture. they have it for almost anything, from lunch to important meetings. This is why the colonists were absolutely furious that Britain taxed this. This event leads to a protest. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was the response to the Tea act. At the Boston Tea Party, they took tons and tons of tea from Britain. Then, they dumped it into the water to show how upset they were. Britain was furious with this and responded. -
The Intolerable acts
The Intolerable acts were a punishment from the Boston Tea Party. This angered the colonists because it broke the laws of the Fundamental rights. This was when the tension between the colonists and Britain was almost at the highest its ever been. -
Lexington and Concord
Lexington and Concord was the first battle between the British and the colonists. Britain was trying to find and take guns and ammunition from the colonists to stop a war from happening which would keep America and Britain together. The colonists fought back and won which showed Britain that they could start and win a war. This led to the Declaration of Independence -
The Green Mountain Boys (Ticonderoga)
This was an important capture and achievement. This was an important fort for the British. Then, they later invaded Canada, capturing different areas but losing in the capture of Quebec. This was the first time the colonists went on the offensive and a major time in America -
Bunker Hill
This battle was a loss for America. But, this battle showed the British that they could hold their ground. This further made the colonists believe that they could win a war. Helping the leading to the Declaration of Independence. -
Common Sense
Common Sense was a pamphlet by Thomas Paine to show everyone why they should separate from Britain. This lead to most loyalists to become loyalists and more people to go against Britain, leading to higher chance of separation -

The Declaration of Independence was the time where, if signed, would declare the separation between America and Great Britain and start a war for freedom. This was the start of the American Revolution war and the main event that led to the American Revolution. -

This was the final battle of the American Revolution. It signified the end of the war. This is how the American Revolution was over with the Americans winning. They had a strategic move and surrounded Cornwallis, causing him to surrender
