    Captain Hopkins and the sally arrived in West Africa. For nine months Hopkins sailed along the Afican coastline, complaining in his log book of the competition for slaves.

    Captain Hopkins purchased 196 slaves, nine whom he had sold to other trades on the coast, but was a pretty disapointing trip overral becuase it was very few who made it across.

    On the eighth day out thee slaves rose in a rebellion which was a very bad day, because they had to kill eight and wounding several others.
  • A note from the Brown's.

    As finally the trip is now over, the Brown's Brothers send a note to Esek Hopkins, saying how disagreeable it is losing 88 slaves and the crew members but they do still thank him and end it by saying "remain cheerful."
