    The original steam engine was invinted by Thomas Newcomen in 1712. But, this steam engine was not sufficent for the uses it would be used for. So on January 19, 1769 James Watt created the better steam engine which would be used till even today.
  • Surrey Iron Railway

    This was the first public railway constructed in the Surrey towns of Wandsworth and Croydon via Mitcham. All of which are suborbs of London. The construction was built buy the British Parliment.
