King John Signs the Magna Carta
King John was forced to sign the Magna Carta (great charter) and it did 2 important things
1. Forced monarchs to obey the laws.
2. Gave nobles rights,that were later extended to all free-men. -

Louis was king of France. He was a religious guy that had strong beliefs in Christianity. He wanted government to be royal, so he improved it. He also sent out officials to keep tabs on the administrators. Louis also believe in justice. -

Kind Edward I wanted to take money for his wars that happened in France. He wanted people to approve his plan on new tax.
