    This was the glamours era, creams were the in thing in foundations and shadows. Eyebrows still had a natural look but more tapered and feminine. Pink hues in shadows and reddish pink lipsticks were very big during this decade. Lashes were very subtle, mascara was only applied on the top. Winged eyeliner was usually used with heavy eye showed looks. Shimmer shadows were big, makeup brands were coming out with eye-shadow palettes with two or three shades to create a specific look.
  • Ranging look's

    Makeup in the 1960's ranged from natural,geometric,hippie. At the start there was continuation of the 1950s makeup look(flicked upper eye liner, matte eye shadows in greys/greens/blues, soft blusher and lipsticks ranging from reds/corals/ pinks). Soon Pastel colours were in, this look became all the rage for the younger women. False lashes became popular during these years. Women started to wear a full face of makeup instead of just few items, Embracing makeup and wearing it as a bag of honour.

    Women in the 1970's wanted a natural effortless look. Shimmers were used to highlight their cheekbones. Natural peaches/ pinks were used on the apples of the cheeks with a natural sheer foundation that matched the color of the skin was used.False eyelashes became more nature during this time. Brows were kept natural, eyes had shimmer and mascara, bronzer on their face with a light weight foundation with clear or a nude pear lipstick.
  • Bold

    Women worn wear bold eye makeup and blush to accentuate the cheek bones. The more noticeable the eye shadow and the heavier the blush, the better you looked. The eyeliner, in particular, was worn heavily on the inside with colored mascara. The 80's was about colour and expressing yourself.
  • The 3 Main Area's

    Most of the makeup was only focused on 3 areas, eyebrows. eyes, and lips. Eyebrows were to be dark and defined, eyes would have a light smokey eye in shades of brown, green, purple, and blue.Lips were to be shades of apricot, brown, purple, or red. It was becoming very popular to define the lips with a dark liner and a lighter lipstick. The skin was to be fresh and flawless since, the heavy eye makeup and lips created the perfect effect for that.
  • Messy Makeup

    Messy Makeup
    Blue eyeshadow was often rocked by celebs and other people with most outfits. Extreme highlight was big and often was very reflective and caught the light, making them look shiny. Thin eyebrows oftentimes involved shaving or waxing off the original brow, then drawing over the empty space with eyeliner. Heavy amounts of lipgloss were applied making it look sticky.
