    The Enlightenment was a period of time in Europe where they were creating and understanding a change. This is when a lot of inventions where being made. It took a while for the people to understand all the new things and how to use them in their everyday life.

    The French & Indian War was mostly between the French, Britain, and Native American tribes. The war ended with the Treaty of Paris. Because of this war, Britain gained a lot of ground in North America.

    The Sons of Liberty first started because of the Stamp Act that was passed. This group turned into a group that would protest the new acts that felt wrong.

    This act was passed to help pay for British troops during the Seven Years War. It taxed newspapers, pamphlets, legal documents, dice, and playing cards.

    This Act stated the you now had to pay taxes on glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. This lead to boycotts on British goods. Also lead to British goods being destroyed.

    This happened because colonist were mad about the new tax acts and because of the Redcoats were stationed there. Seven Redcoats fired into the crowd during a riot, they killed five and wounded six.

    This was a protest against the Tea Tax led by the Son of Liberty. They dumped the new shipment of Tea into the river.

    There were multiply battles in this but the main one was when the Massachusetts colonists defended their land against the Redcoats. These battles the start of the war of American Independence.

    This fight was against the England and the American colonies. Even though the American colonies didn't win, they proved they could hold their ground and had a chance of winning against England.

    During this day 13 colonies decided to adopt the Declaration of Independence. They were hoping to seek independence by signing it.

    This was the first battle the colonials had in a long time. This helped Washington convinced the soldiers' to keep fighting and to not give up.

    Battle of Camden
    It was the worst American defeat in the field and left the British in temporary control of the southern colonies. Around 900 Americans died during this battle.

    During this battle, the British surrendered the American colonies and the French allies. This led to the Treaty of Paris being signed.
