    The French and Indian war was a seven-year-long war between France and Britian, France being allied with the Indians. It was a struggle over who controlled the Ohio river frontier in the New World. France fought wtih the Indians and American Colonists against Britain. Britain won and shut down the Ohio River Valley to further american expansion in that area.

    Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 was issued by King George the 3rd following the French and Indian War which forbid American settlers to expand past the Appalachian Mountains.
  • Stamp Act of 1765

    The Stamp Act imposed a direct tax from Brtitish parliament on the colonists to pay a tax on Many printed goods in the colonies.

    The Boston Massacre was the incident on King Street where British soldiers killed five men and Injured six others by firing there guns into a rioting crowd.

    The Revolutionary war was between Great Britian and The Thirteen Colonies for there independence. Loyalists often moved back to Britain, but many Patriots stayed and fought for freedom. It gradually grew into a greater world war between Britain and the colonies with more allies such as France.

    The Second Continental Congress was a convention of Delegates from the thirteen Colonies led by George washington and others as a result of warfare in the Revolutionary War. Also, Continental Army was formed as result of the warfare.

    The declaration of Independence was written and sent to King George 3 as a result of many unfair laws. It was made after things written for the same cause such as common sense, written by Thomas Paine, and the Olive Branch Petition written by John Locke. It was written by Thomas Jefferson.

    The Treaty of Paris was a treaty officially ending the war between Britain and the newly founded U.S., where the United States have won victory.

    An Armed Rebellion lead by Daniel Shay, a revolutionary war veteran and one of the rebel leaders. The rebellion was against unfair Taxes and acts toward the farmers that were hard to pay and they kept losing there farms in some cases.

    The U.S Constitutional Convention was a Group of Delegates who got together to draft the U.S. Constitution. They made a Electoral college to elect the President and had to make many decisions such as the Great compromise and the three-fifths compromise, regarding government and slavery.

    The Constitution explains and is how the government is run and the laws that each government branch must abide by. It starts with the Preamble to adress the people and say there rights and what applies to them. James madison and Alexander Hamilton were two people who had a great influence on the document, despite having differnet views. They both helped write the federalist papers, despite Alexander Hamilton being anti federalist and James Madison being federalist.
