The Boston Massacre was when a group of British soldiers fired into a Boston crowd. This resulted in 5 people dead and 6 people injured. -

There was a group of men that snuck aboard East India Company ships and dumped a bunch of the chests of tea into the harbor. What led to this was when the British Parliament passed the Tea Act, which placed a tax of 3 pennies for every pound of tea. -
The Battle of Bunker Hill
At the Battle of Bunker Hill the British charged the hill while the American colonies stood their ground. The battle ended when the the colonies had to flee due lack ammunition. -
The Second Continental Congress meets
George Washington was appointed as the person in charge of the newly established Continental Army. They also sent a petition to King George III in hopes of dealing with things peacefully, later on it would be rejected. -
The Battles of Lexington and Concord
The Battles of Lexington and Concord was the first major battle in the American Revolutionary War. This being the first American victory increased support in the anti-British idea. -
The Olive Branch Petition was sent to England
This petition was the colonies last effort in getting the British to end all the hostility in a peaceful manner. Upon receiving the petition, King George III rejected it immediately. -
The Battle of Trenton
The Continental Army, led by George Washington, won a very important battle capturing many Hessians. They also were able to obtain a good amount of muskets, bayonets, swords, and cannons. -
The Articles of Confederation are created
The Articles of Confederation was a formal agreement between the 13 states. This agreement would be the United States' first attempt at a national government. -
The Battle of Camden
At the Battle of Camden it was a major loss for the Americans. They summed up to around 2,000 casualties, also losing crucial military supplies. -

The Battle of Yorktown was a three week battle leading to the British surrendering to the Americans and French. This was also the last major win leading to the Treaty of Paris in 1783. -

This treaty was signed by both the Americans and British ending the American Revolution. This also meant they had to recognize the United States as it's own independent nation. -

This was when the delegates all went into a room swearing secrecy to speak as they wish. They would revise the Articles of Confederation and redesign the government. -
The Constitution is ratified
The Constitution became the official government layout of the United States after New Hampshire was the 9th state to ratify it. North Carolina, Virginia, New York and Rhode Island would soon follow after.
