    Prohibited the colonists from settling on lands that were from the French. It is important because this led to the French and Indian War.

    Put tax on sugar, molasses, and other products. That was imported into the colonies from non-British Caribbean sources. Its important because it was the first time that the colonies were being taxed.

    To help pay the expenses, Parliament passed the Townshend Acts, which taxed glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. Its important because the colonists thought it was very unfair.

    The colonists were protesting against all the taxes and the redcoats were there keeping them out of control. It helped strengthen the Boston.

    The colonists dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor. This event is important because the colonists were willing to boycott and give tea.

    Four laws were passed by the British to discipline Massachusetts Bay for the Boston Tea Party. It's important because the colonists united together the First Continental Congress.

    It was to boycott British goods because everything was being taxed. It was important because it stopped the taxing of the colonies.

    Massachusetts colonists didn't listen to the British, they outnumbered and fought against the redcoats. It's important because the Battle of Lexington and Concord was the first battle of the war.

    The founding fathers of the United States signed these papers which founded the United States. This was important during the American Revolution because it declared itself as independent.

    Boats successfully transported troops and artillery equipment over the ice-filled river. This is important because George Washington secured the first big victory of the war.

    Battle of Saratoga
    The American defeat of the British army helped to secure the foreign support needed to win the war. It was a turning point for independence for the Americans.

    Winter at Valley Forge
    Built huts for shelter, unsanitary conditions, shortages of supplies and blankets spread small pox. This event is important because Valley Forge was easy to defend they could train and recover from battles during winter weather.

    André, disguised as a messenger, was captured, Arnold ran away, showing that he betrayed the colonists and was actually British. His treason made the colonists way more patriotic during the war.

    Cornwallis surrendered his army to General George Washington. It's important it was the final battle of the American Revolution.

    The Treaty of Paris was a confirmation of the United States being an independent nation. It is important because it ended the Revolutionary War between the Britsh and the Colonists.
