Proclamation of 1763
After the French and Indian war, Great Britian won land in the colonies and gave the land to the Native Americans instead of the colonists. So then King George III sent out the proclomation telling colonits that they can not move in that land or step foot into it. -
Stamp Act
Colonists had to pay tax on every piece of printed paper. Such as ship papers, legal documents, licenses, and newspapers. -
Quartering Act
Each colonists had to provide the basic needs for the British Colonists in that boundry. Colonists had to cook, give/clean bedding for them, ect. -
Townshend Act
Charles Townshend started taxing on glass, lead, paints, paper and tea imported into the colonies. Colonists thought something was up with Townshend so they limited their British products or boycotted it all -
Boston Massacre
A street fight that happened in Boston. Colonists were swearing, throwing snowballs, throwing stones and sticks, calling the soldiers name, ect.. British Soldiers fired and killed several colonists that night -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was a protest against taxation. On that night, Samuel Adams and other colonists boarded the ships with tea on them and threw the tea over board into the water. -
Intolerable Acts
An act passed by the Britian thats punishing the colonists of Massachusetts for dumping the tea into the Boston Harbor. -
First Continental Congress
The First Continental Congress was a meet up with the 13 colonies in Philidalphia, Pennsylvania. Very important patriots attended, such as John Adams, Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and many more. -

Battle of Bunker Hill was another early battle in the revolution. The British defeated the Colonists. -

Battle of Saratoga was considered the turning point of the Revolution when the Americans won victory from the British. -
Battle of Yorktown
Battle of Yorktown was the last battle in the revolution. It lasted 21 days then The British troops/commander surrendered. -
Treaty of Paris
A document signed by the representatives of King George III and of the colonists. The treaty ended the revolutionary war.
