The British Greed
Many of the colonists moved to the Americas to get away from the king. When the British army shipped into the New Worl they bgean to take over. Taxes were raised everyday, the British tore down and exported the colony lumber, they shipped African slaves, and many settlers were evicted from their land. -

Tension Between
The colonists were fed up with the British government taking over their new home. They began mobbing the redcoats, When the British set borders the settlers moved land, they smuggled British weapons, and each colony began communicating with each other about the plans they had for the British. -
The Bloody Boston Massacre
The colonists mobbed the redcoats. The soldiers were ordered not to shoot and the colonists began to get stronger. A British soldier went for it and hit a colonist named Edward Garrick in the face with his gun. The colonists charged, the British fired. The first to colonists were shot dead. Three more were killed before the settlers finally retreated away from the soldiers. This very event is known as the spark of the American Revolution. -
Boston Tea Party
Even with the American boycotts against the taxes, the taxes were still raised. A band of settlers dressed up as Mohawk Indians and stowed away onto a ship of tea. They took action and dumped 342 chests of tea into the ocean, atleast 90,000 pounds. Though the Americans were disguised the British were not fooled. The Boston harbor was shut down causing many of the settlers to lose their jobs. -
Rebel Militia
The colonists didn't want to be ruled by the British government, they had to fight against them. Each of the thirteen colonies set up militia's full of townsmen. Skill level didn't matter, the experienced and the not so experienced got together to build a plan to take down the British army. The townsmen were trained to use a gun and they were taught specific battle strategies. -
Continental Congress I
After the Boston Massacre, representatives from all thirteen colonies came together in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania at Carpenter's Hall. The representatives, including John Adams and George Washignton, gathered to discuss the British rule. This new order wanted peace between the Americans and the British. They agreed to boycott British goods as a warning to the British to lower their taxes, if the British did not, they would meet again to figure out a new plan. -

After the Boston Tea Party the colony representatives got back together to wither up a new strategy. Instead of trying to equalize themselves with the British they decided to fight back. Each of the colonies gathered a militia, using spies and strong communications to sort out plans against the British government. -

Attack Aginst the Rebels
The British attacked the rebel militia, large amounts of damage was done to the rebel base and the soldiers themselves. When they set fire to the city of New York the militia's were droven out. In 1777, the British planned to completely wipe out the rebel army, but they had another thing coming. The rebels built new battle strategies, using their terrain experience to their advantage. Instead of attacking in an open field the rebels used sharp shooting, targeting Native escorts and officers.
