    Huckleberry Finn is taken in my the Widow Douglas and miss Watson who try to "sivilize" Huck by triyng to teach him to read and write. Huck hates civilization and does not want to be civilized.

    Huck wants to join his friend Tom Sawyer and his band of robbers who plan to kill people and take their moeny and possesions.
  • The return

    Huck's father "Pap" returns from the dead and goes strait back to his daily routine of getting drunk and beating Huck. The only reason he takes Huck in is because he wants the money that Huck and Tom found.
  • The escape

    Huck is finally done dealing with his fathers beatings and fakes his death to escape and runs to a nearby island where he meets Jim (Miss Watsons slave that also ran away)

    Huck and Jim continue to sail down the river and encounter many close calls including people looking for runaway slaves and murderers. Huck saves Jim multiple times and doesn't quite understand why, because that completely goes against the what society expects.

    Huck and Jim get seperated and Huck meets the Grangerford family who are in a feud with another family, the Shepardsons. After a while they get in a gunfight where Huck escapes and finds jim, they then leave and continue down the river.

    huck struggles with the idea that he "stole" Jim from Miss Watson and does not know if helping Jim is right or wrong. He eventually comes to the decision that if people go to hell for helping black people that "he would go to hell".

    Two men were being chased out of a town by a crowd of people and mustve done something to deserve it, but Juck and Jim stop to save them anyways. They claim to be the Duke and Dauphin.

    The four stop at multiple towns on their way and the Duke and dauphin find a way to scam people in every town out of a lot of money. Do people that are stupid enough to be scammed deserve it? Huck and Jim don't think so and try to get rid of them but do not succeed.

    The Duke and Dauphin try to scam a family out of all their possesions by claiming that they are the the brothers of the deceased owner. this is where Huck draws the line and he steals the money from the two and hides it before he leaves, the town finds the money and chases the two away

    The Duke and Dauphin sells Jim to a farmer in a town that they were in so Huck decides to save Jim and goes to the house of the man that bought Jim where he finds that the people that live there are relatives of Hucks best friend, Tom sawyer.
  • The rescue

    Huck and Jim make an elaborate plan to free Jim. After they free him Tom gets shot in the leg as they are running away. When Tom regains consciousness he reveals that Miss Watson died and set Jim free. Aunt Sally wishes to take Huck in but he decides to travel west because ho does not want to be "sivilized".
