The French and Indian War
The French and Indians vs. the Colonies and the British. The French and Indian war was about the Colonies trying to get more land. After the war was over Britan had won but that war costed Britan in debit and they lost money.So they started taxing the Colonists to pay the debit for the war. -
The Proclomation
In the Proclomation King George the 3rd prevented the Colonists from going west of the appalation moutains. The reason he did this was so Britin wasn't losing money protecting the Colonists from Indian attacks and also so the Colonists didn't start another war. The Colonist didn't think the king could tell them where to go -
The Quartering act
The Quartering act was when Britan said that British soldiers would live with the Colonists and the Colonists would give the British soldiers a place to sleep, buy them food, and give them shelter. So they where pretty muc paying to have the soldiers live with them. -
The Stamp Act
In the Stamp act the British taxed the Colonists on all papers they used. It was also the first tax on the Colonists. The Colonists thought Britin had no right what so ever to tax the them. -
The Boston Massacre
In the Boston Massacre the Colonists were tauntig a British soldier so the soldier called for back up. No one knows exacly what happend next but what they think happend was a British soldier thought he heard the commmand fire and he shot into crowd. The Colonists got closer and the British soldiers fired . Five men lay dead or dying six were wounded. -
The Boston Tea party
In the Boston Tea Party the Biritish got rid of all the tax exept the tax on tea. the angry Colonists dressed up as Indians and climbed abord British ships. The Colonists dropped over 90,000 pounds of tea in the bay. Biritin was very madat the colonists so they punished the Colonists by allowing no ships to dock at the Boston harbor. Which truely did punish the Colonists in boston because they got most of their food and money from trading ships docking. -
the First Continential Congress
The Firest Continential Congress was when a leader from each colonie woulgd travel to philidelphia and they would discuss their problems with Britin. This was also the time the colonies started to work together.
