The invention of the Piano
The piano was in vented in 1709 by a man by the name of Bartolomeo Cristofori, who worked repairing harpsichords. He did not like that he did not have the sufficient control he wanted for his sound with the use of a harpsichord, so he created an instrument that did, called the piano. It switched the sound making mechanism from plucking cords to a hammer tapping the notes. Its changed music ever since. This instrument is used by musicians from different genres all around the world. -
The Flush Toilet awakens
In 1775 one of greatest inventions known to date was invented but Alexander Cummings, the flush toilet. Its the one thing we all must have and that we cherish so deeply. It's something we still use and will always use. It made using the bathroom much easier, and cleaner as well. No need to empty the bucket anymore, just flush. -
Small Pox be gone
In 1796 Edward Jenner created the first effective smallpox vaccination. This has saved millions of lives from then to now by preventing any further spread of that fatal illness. Now more than ever I think we know how dangerous an illness can be when there is no cure or preventative. What he made has helped those in his time and generations on, no longer do we have to worry about encountering such a dangerous sickness.
