The Russian Revolution
Czars are described as "East and South Slavic monarchs or supreme rulers of Eastern Europe". These Monarchs were given all of the power over their territory and shared none. With Czars came Russia (soon to be Soviet Union) and it's people. Over the years, people became intolerable of the Czar and started retaliating against their ruler. The rebellions soon turned into success and The Russian Revolution gave opportunity for a new government.

The Iron Curtain was a metaphorical curtain that divided western and eastern Europe in 1945. The Curtain mostly divided what the USSR had some control over on the eastern half and the rest of the leading powers in western Europe.

The Potsdam Conference
The Potsdam Conference was a discussion between Allied powers on the terms and conditions of Germany's surrender. Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, and President Truman all gathered at Cecilienhof, the home of Crown Prince Wilhelm in Potsdam, occupied Germany to have the discussion. The Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
During the final stages of WWII the USA dropped two atomic bombs in Japan. One on Hiroshima on August 6th and one on Nagasaki on August 9th, 1945. The bombs were dropped because of the major attack on Pearl Harbor. The Japanese refused to surrender, so we made them surrender.

The U-2 Incident
The U-2 Incident occurred in 1960 when an American reconnaissance drone piloted by one man flew deep into soviet territory. The drone took photos of Soviet military bases and equipment but was quickly shot down and taken into Soviet possession. The US was forced to tell the truth about the operation and was an overall embarrassment to the US.
