The Guerrero Decree was the establishment of the Law of April 6 by the president of Texas named Vicente Guerrero. -
Law of April 6, 1830
Designed to stop the flood of immigration from the United States to Texas, which came as a result of the warning Mier y Terán Report. It also forbade slaves to be used and Texas where disturbed by this because they used slavery to make money. -
Conflict at Anhuac
The Texans sent a garrison to a fort on defense after the law of April 6, 1830. After William Travis and Patrick Jack were arrested, settlers sent 200 soldiers on a rescue mission.
