Law of April 6, 1830
Mexicans did not want slavery in Teas. They passed a law end immagration. The Law cancled all empersario contracts. It outlawed brining slaves inot Texas. The people in Texas were made and people stopped comming to Texas.

Battle of Velaso
hThe convention was called in San Felipe on October 1, 1823.Stephen F. Austin was the leader of the meeting. The Mexican representative did not show, and claimed the Convention illegal.

Convention of 1833
After the convention of 1832 the planned a new convention. This convention was aggressive. Austin was chosen to present the petitions to the government in mexico city. The presentations were going good at first but then the started going downhill.

Stephan F. Austin Imprisenment
Stephan was doing everything to please his settlers, but Santa Anna was not pleased with all of the things his men were doing, he captured Stephen F Austin and held his hostage for 8 months, while he was let loose, his settlers were starting to cause riots.

Battle of Ganzolus.
It all started when the cannon was taken from Gonzalez, they told the mexican commander “to come and take it”. The Texans wanted independence so bad, they would take anyone willing to fight, to come and fight for the Texans. Some people would even volunteer to help fight. The soldiers would rather die than surrender.

Seige of San Antonio
The Texans army was marched by the San Antonio river. There was a total of about 1,000 men. They wanted a surrender, but did not receive one. The Mexicans fought back and got more and more reinforcements. At November 14, there were no more reinforcements.

Battle of the Alamo
The texans weren’t supposed to be there. Half of the soldiers weren’t even registered to be soldiers, they just volunteered to help the texans. There was even mexicans on the texan side acting as if they were mexicans. The battle of the Alamo ended with the Fall of the Alamo and Texas surrendering!!

Goliade Massacure
Santa Anna and his army went to what is now called San Antonio, and started killing or capturing any Texan in their way!! Texas kept sending more men to help out, but soon was running out.
The Texas eventually surrendered.

Fall of the Alamo
The Fall of the Alamo is when the battle is still going on......... Everyone had their assigned points in the Alamo, but no one was covering the church. While allmost all of the post in the Alamo were allready taken, the church was not. Some brave soilders went to caover it, but were killed amidetly. The Alamo had fallen!!

Santa Anna's seizer of the Mexico government.
Santa Anna at first tried to take over the Mexican government but did not succed. This led to a Civil War in Mexico, but the slodiers betrayed him. The Mexican soldiers left Texas and surrendered. The control was in the Texas settlers hands. Photo-

Runaway Scrape
This actually took place from February-April of 1836. This is a period of tme where Santa Anna would go through the Texan settlements and take over their land. The Texan settlers fled and many died.

Treaty of Velaso
There was actually 2 treaties!
The Public Treaty- The property that has been taken away from the Texans must be returned, and the Mexican army must back their troops to behind the Rio Grande. Also Santa Anna would be released!

The Secret Treaty- That Santa Anna would be released, only if he used his popularity to spread the word, Texas is now free. The Mexican troops would still have to be moved past the Rio Grande. -
Continue of the Treaty of Velaso
May 26- The troops started going back to the Rio Grande, both the Mexican and Texans both broke the treaties, so neither went into action. Also Texas was not considered independent!
