    In 1827 President Guadaulpe Victoria named General Manuel to lead a expidention to Texas they examined the locals when they left illness and muddy roads delayed the exploration and he recomended that they close Texas borrders, add new garrisons around the settlements and close the borders and ban slavery.

    Fredonian Rebelion
    Empresario Haden Edwards recived a grant to settle 800 familes in Eastern Texas but to keep land grants he forced his colonists to pay or move from his land. So Mexico failed his contract so he allied with local indians and decalred his land the Republic of Fredonia independent from Mexico so Mexican officers and Militia reached the colony but the revolutionists fled across the Sabine river

    People started to appose the Mexican rule in Texas. The Texas rebels allied with the federalist cause by composing the Turtle Bayou Resolutions.The federalist explained that they were attacking because of the centralist government. They urged Texans to support the patriots fighting to defeat president Bustamante.

    The first bloodshed between the Texans and Mexico. The settlers fought the Mexican Army at Fort Velasco. During the battle the Mexicans were forced to surrender because they ran out of ammunition.After the battle the Mexicans were allowed to return.

    The convention adopted resolutions and modification to the law of April 6, 1830. And allowed more general immigration from the United States.It also designed a militia to protect cities. It also allowed separation from the Coahuila. The resolution was also never presented top the Mexican Government.

    The convention met the day Santa Anna took control over power in Mexico. William H Wharton asked the convention for it to repeal the law of April 6, 1830. And for resolutions for prohibiting African slave traffic in Texas. Also to split Coahuila and Texas. 3 people were meant to go to mexico and show the Mexican government ,but instead Austin went alone.

    Stephen F Austin Goes to Mexico City
    The convention of 1833 elected SFA to deliver the petitions to Mexico City and to Santa Anna himself. He left in April and arrived in July. He was there for along time trying to convince the Mexican government. He started back to Texas in December but was arrested in January and returned to Mexico City. He was never taken to court nobody would testify for his case so we was left to rot in prison until December 1834 1 year later was set free, but not allowed to return to Texas.
