-James Fannin commanded the Texas forces at Goliad.
-General Urrea commanded the Mexican forces.
-Fannin realized he could not hold the fort, so he retreated 30 miles east
-Mexican Army caught up to them at Coleto creek and Fannin surrendered to General Urrea when he realized he would not win. -
Goliad Massacre

-Urrea asked Santa Anna for mercy on the Texan troops

Battle of San Jacinto
