The Grass Fight
The Grass fight was a battle in which the Texans thought they were battling a force that carried horses with bags full of Silver headed for San Antonio, but was just a bunch bags full of grass. This also told the Texans that the Mexican forces were running out of supplies to live. -

General Santa Anna approached the Alamo and sent a letter asking the Texans to surrender. The Texans responded with a single cannon shot and the Alamo was surrounded for 13 days. -
