He posted a blog about his "Master Plan". In the blog Musk says he wants to make a solar electric economy. He wants to build a wide range of cars ranging from affordable family cars to super luxurious, fast, and expensive ones. -
Roadster Production Starts
The company met its goal of releasing the Roadster to the public by mid- March. This roadster was $109,000 when it was released. The new Roadster that will be released in 2020 will cost around $200,000. It will be able to go from 0 to 60 in 1.9 secs.

Tesla gave a glimpse of what of what its future car would be like when it revealed its first electric Sudan, the Model S prototype. They did not start delivering the Model S until around late 2012. -
Another New Car
Just a few months after the Model S reveal, Tesla unveiled a prototype of the Model X, the company's first crossover SUV. it wouldn't actually really enter production until the end of 2015.

First Autopilot Fatal Accident
The Model S was driving down a divided highway when a tractor trailer cut across the highway right in front of the Tesla. "Neither Autopilot nor the driver noticed the white side of the tractor trailer against a brightly lit sky, so the brake was not applied." Tesla said in its blog post.
