Discovery of Penicillin
Although Penicillin was deiscovered by accident it greatly impacts all of our world's. It helps reduce the amount of deaths and amputaion, and is an antibiotic. This discovery greatly contributed to medical knowledge, and personally impacted me because it is used in gauze for everyday injuries. So if it was not invented when we were young whenever we would get a cut or fall down without that sterile gauze it would have had to be amputated. -
'Black Tuesday'
The stock market crash of 1929 greatly impacted my life. Due to the fact that my father and family used to live in the US until I was four the stock market crash impacted my fathers work life and thus impacted my life. It also impacted the US as a whole as there have been minor depressions since trhen. -
Holocaust
The Holocaust was a disasterous time which forced Israelis to move into Palestine. This greatly impacts everyone around me and thus it impacts me. -
Nakba
This day is the dependence day of Israilis on which they kicked out all of the Palestinians and killed them and exhiled them and tortured them out of their land. Learning about this event made me think of the injustice around the world and the way that greed rules us. -
British Mandate in Cyprus
The amount of British in Cyprus changed my Cypriot social and educational experience as my whole school was filled with British and our history classes revolved around them. -
Internet
The internet has greatly impacted all of our worlds, for I could not even do this project without it. -
Naksa
The six day war greatly affected everyone in the middle east and although I just learned about the Palestinian cause last year it greatly affected me and my thought on the world as a whole. -
Cell Phone
On that fabulous day the cell phone was made. Let me first state that the world would not be the way that it now is without the cell phone. Even we would not be the way we are without it. For one, we would be much more athletic because we would have to run everywhere to tell people things. -
Invention of the laptop
This revolutionized modern day computers, by making something portable and light and easy to use. This also modernized eduation and the way that childern and I was ttaought as they had to create a class about computers and laptops and technology in general. -
Rugrats
This TV show is the only one I used to watch throughout my childhood. So my thinking was asically made from this TV show. Without it I would not be who I am now.
