The ninendo DS was a new type of portable gaming systems that had 2 screens. When previously they only had 1 screen. And it had a touchscreen and a microphone in it which opened a big world of possiblities in the world of gaming. -
Xbox 360 with Kinect
The xbox itself was just another at home gaming device, but then came the Kinect with it and it changed the whole device. The Kinect was a motion tracking device that connected to the xbox and it opened a whole world of different games that no one had ever seen before. -

The nintendo 3DS was a 3D handheld gaming device. It was kind of like the DSI before it but it had so much more to offer. The main aspect of it was the 3D feature which was new to many people. But it also causee many problems such as eye problems and eye strain because of the 3D. -
Oculus rift
The Oculus rift was the first VR headset made for the Oculus brand of devices. Though it released in 2016, it had been in development since 2012. The Oculus wasn't just your advage VR headset. The Oculus is very submersive which made some people feel like they were actually in the games that they were playing. -
Nintendo Switch
The nintendo switch was a unique gaming device because not only could you play with it at home on your big TV, it was also portable and slim. It wasnt any more hassle to bring around than a small tablet. It was so popular, over 3 million sold in the first year alone, and it still continues to be a popular gaming device.
