The Oregon Trail
The Oregon Trail was a game designed by Don Rawitsch, Bill Heinemann, and Paul Dillenberger apart of the Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium. It was designed to teach children about multiple tragedies that happened during the Oregon Trail from 1811-1840. The game was available on computer for a long time, where it became available on consoles and mobile, too. -
Pong
Pong is one of the earliest arcade games. You can play it on mobile and computer now, not just in an arcade. The creator of pong was Allan Alcorn of Atari. It was a virtual version of table tennis, where you had to hit the "ball" back and forth until someone scored. -
Video Pinball
Video Pinball was a game on the its own console where you had to hit the ball to hit the other obstacles to get points. You couldn't let the ball fall between the bumpers on the bottom, or else you lost a life/the game. Video Pinball was created by Bob Smith of Atari. The game was on the Atari and its own console, where it was also an arcade game. -
Space Invaders
Space Invaders was an arcade game where you had to shoot the rows of aliens before they attack your laser cannon. The game was created by Tomohiro Nishikado apart of Taito. The game is now on mobile and computer devices. -
Pac-Man
Pac-Man was a game released in Japan almost halfway into 1980. The game was available in arcades, but is now available on computer and mobile. The creators of the game were Shigeo Funaki and Toshio Kai in Namco. The game starts you off towards the bottom of the screen, where you have to eat little white balls and try to escape from the four colorful ghosts. -
Ms. Pac-Man
Very similar to Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man is the female version of Pac-Man. The concept is the same where you have to escape the ghosts before they touch you, you can also eat fruit to get extra points. The creators are the same, and Ms. Pac-Man is also available in arcades, as well and computers and mobile. -
Dig Dug
Dig Dug was created by Yuriko Keino within Namco, which are the same developers of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. The game was available in arcades, and has grown over time to be available on mobiles, consoles, and computers. The concept of the game is to dig and get to the top without running into enemies. You can dig under the rocks to make them smash the enemies. -
Tetris
Tetris was created by Alexey Pajitnov and Vladimir Pokhilko of multiple companies. The point of Tetris was to rotate and move the blocks to make a line, and when they make a line, it disappears and you get points for making it disappear. The game was available on its own console, and is now available on computers and mobiles. -
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. was the first game in the series, where it was created by Shigeru Miyamoto, Takashi Tezuka, Toshihiko Nakago, and Kazuaki Morita of Nintendo. You played as Mario where you had to get to the end of the map and along the way, you could collect coins and jump on goombas and koopas. The game was available on console arcade, and is now available on handheld devices. -
The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka within Nintendo. The game was and is still available on console and handheld devices. The object of the game is for Link to rescue Princess Zelda and the Hyrule kingdom, where you have to fight enemies in your way while you're on your journey. -
Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy was created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, Hiromichi Tanaka, Akitoshi Kawazu, and Koichi Ishii of Square. The game was available on console and is now available on mobile. You're on a boat to travel places and fight enemies. -
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog was a 16-bit game developed by 5 creators and artists within Sega. You had to explore the different zones of the world at lightning fast speed while collecting rings and fighting enemies. This game was available on the Sega Genesis, but is now on consoles and mobile, as well. -
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario Kart was a go-kart game where you race around a map and try to sabotage your opponents by picking up objects and throwing them back. The creators are Soyo Oka, Yōichi Kotabe, Mie Yoshimura, Yoshiaki Koizumi of Nintendo. It was available on console, and also on handheld devices. -
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat was a game where you could choose from a variety of characters with different special abilities, and use them to fight other characters in a 1v1 match. The creators of this game were Ed Boon and John Tobias. The game was available in arcades, and are now available on console. -

Pokémon Red and Green is a game where you have to catch all the Pokémon, collect all the gym badges, and defeat Team Rocket. The game was created by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori of Nintendo. The game was released on a handheld device. -
Super Mario 64
Super Mario 64 was created by Koji Kondo and Shigeru Miyamoto within Nintendo. In the game, you have to save Princess Peach from Bowser in her own castle by going through different obstacles along your way. The game was released on a console, where you can now play it on handheld devices. -

StarCraft's objective of this game is to manage worker and army units to crush your opponents in a futuristic sci-fi war setting. The creators of the game were Chris Metzen and James Phinney. The game is available on computers, as well as consoles. -

Jak X is a combat racing game, where you can play and adventure game or multiplayer game. The game was created by Christopher Christensen, Neil Druckmann, Bob Rafei, Hirokazu Yasuhara and Richard Lemarchand in Naughty Dog. The game was available on console and isn't available on any other platform. -

Uncharted: Drake;s Fortune is a game where the main character, Drake, tries to find the lost treasure of El Dorado. The game was created by Pal-Kristian Engstad, Dan Liebgold, Travis McIntosh, Bob Rafei and Bruce Straley of Naughty Dog. The game is only available on console. -

Red Dead Redemption is a game based in the old Western world, where a former outlaw has to save his son and wife from being held hostage by the government in the story. Borderlands 2 is a game where you can play as different characters, but you're on a team called the "Vault Hunters" and you try to take revenge on a villain named Handsome Jack, who left you for dead in a frozen wasteland. The game was created by Steven Jones and Jeramy Cooke within Gearbox Software. The game was available on computers, then on console. -
Flappy Bird
Flappy Bird was the hottest game on mobile devices for a few weeks in 2013. The creator was a programmer named Dong Nguyen within a company named dotGEARS. You had to tap the screen to allow the bird to fly between pipes. The game was available on mobile, but was taken off the app stores. You can play parodies of this game on mobile and computer. -

Grand Theft Auto V is a game where you can play story more or online mode. In both modes, you have different missions and heists to complete in order to score a lot of money, but try to not get wanted by the cops or die.
