While visiting family during the holidays my grandmother introduced us to her new Apple computer she had bought for our cousin. -

The family computer
My dad purchased a Dell desktop for the family. I was still having to hand write my class assignments while turning in a typed copy. -
internet connection
Dial-up internet connection was not fun because we always knew someone was using the internet when we tried to make a phone call. -
Canvas
College of Southern Nevada had all students using Canvas to submit class assignments. -
My first computer
I treated myself to a Black Friday deal and purchased a 15inch Dell laptop, mostly because I was going back to school and didn't want to spend all day at the library waiting to use one there. -
Quizlet app
During my second semester, I was told about a study app called Quizlet and I used it to help study and pass most of my classes. -
HP Envy 4500 printer
I, an digital immigrant, had to buy a printer to print out class assignments and other stuff from the internet. Also having a printout helped while I was at work because they don't allow us to have our phones or any internet connection. -
Cengage ebooks
Some classes offered interactive ebooks and the app was an easy way to read the text while away from my books. -
Revel app
The Revel app, which come included with the purchase of a loose-leaf paper book, was also an interactive ebook that helped my study. -
HP laptop
My dell laptop was old and dying so I upgraded in a new 17in rose gold impractical laptop. It is great for a desktop replacement but not for taking notes during class. -
Ipad Pro
I decided to purchase an Ipad tablet to stream shows but used it more for classes during the Fall semester of 2019. -
Always connected
Now I am always connected to a device in some way, I am streaming from my Ipad, Iphone, or cable; my phone is always nearby so I can stroll Instagram or listen to an Audible book or a podcast.
