    Walkmans
    The Sony Walkman were revolutionary for the time, they managed to shrink a cassette player down to a size that could fit into your pocket. This allowed people to bring there music with them on a more personal level, without the need to a jukebox where everyone has to hear what you are listening to.
  • Camcorder

    Camcorder
    Camcorders were the must have for middle class families in the 1980. They allowed you to record the important moments in you life onto a VHS tape. The camcorders allowed everyone to have better access to camera to be able to remember your families important events.
  • CDs

    CDs
    CDs were creating in 1980 by James Russell. CDs revolutionized music in there own way, they were incredibly clear without a hiss that Cassettes were notorious for. CDs were also considered amazing because they didn’t have the same were and tear that cassettes were horrible for. Before the invention of compact discs you had to rewind VHS tapes to be able to watch anything.
  • Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)

    Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
    The NES was first introduced in 1985 in Japan as “Famicom”, but was rebranded as the NES later that same year. This ground breaking 8-bit video game console was created by Uemura Masayuki. This system was the first widely used home entertainment system, and launched a variety of gaming brands that are still well known to this day; including Super Mario Bro to name one.
  • Disposable Camera

    Disposable Camera
    While somewhat argued it is widely thought the disposable camera was created in 1986 by Fujifilm. The camera took the world by store and then quickly after the market was flooded by the likes of Canon and Nikon. They were cheap, readily available and very easy to use.
