    Beginning on November 12, 1921, and going all the way through February 6, 1922, this was a large gathering of the World's largest naval powers after WWI. They came together in this conference in order to devise a plan to prevent another world war since the first one began with naval warfare.

    Caused by the sudden and violent growth of many stocks shared by investors, the stock market dropped an average of %24.8 making it the worst stock market crash in history even today.
  • Franklin D. Roosevelt Becomes President

    Franklin D. Roosevelt Becomes President
    Franklin D. Roosevelt (Democratic) campaigned against Herbert Hoover (Republican) in the 1932 presidential election. Franklin D. Roosevelt would win and become the 32nd President of the United States.
  • Bank Holiday of 1933

    Bank Holiday of 1933
    President Franklin Roosevelt, due to the crisis of the Great Depression, declared a bank holiday in which the banking system would be shut down for one week to put an end to waves of people flooding the banks. This break lasted from March 6, 1933, to March 13, 1933.

    Put in place under President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal, the Social Security Act established the now necessary Social Security program and provided benefits and government assistance for those who either did not have a job or could not get a job due to some form of disability.

    Attack on Pearl Harbor
    Being one of the key reasons why the United States made the decision to join WWII, the attack on Pearl Harbor occurred when Japan carried out a surprise strike on the US Naval base in Hawaii. The Japanese Naval Air Service were sent with a mission to be sure America stayed out of the war in order to rid of any potential forces that may interfere with their triumph in the war.
