The Invention of Email
Ray Tomlinson, the title of email's inventor. He came up with the idea while working for ARPANE. Back then, people were only able to email using the same computer, until Tomlinson used the "@" to specify the name and computer. To this day, the "@" became widely used in social media and emails to communicate with each other. -

The first handheld cellular mobile phone was created by John F. Mitchell and Martin Cooper of Motorola. This made communication much easier than using a land phone and made an impact how we communicate in our lives. -
GPS Navigation Systems
The GPS project was originally started by the U.S. Department of Defense in 1973. The first prototype spacecraft was launched in 1978 and the full constellation of 24 satellites became operational in 1993. Because of this, they developed a navigation system that became available to civilians worldwide. This gave mailing delivery services an easier way to navigate and allows us to see nearby food places, track pets, and even see busy traffic times. -

The first portable audio player available to the general public, the Sony Walkman, was introduced in 1979. This allowed people to enjoy music outside of their car and home whenever they wanted.
