    Spring 2014: Student Teaching Adventures
Student teaching semester brought about adventures using basic digital technologies like the Smart Board and Skyward, the attendance system. Students had notebooks and pencils, and most of them used them. Times were easy...and maybe a little bit less exciting.

2014-2015: The Trials and Tribulations of Year 1
Year 1 brought about the first year of 1:1 laptop technology. With it came my first CMS pages, my first teacher website, my first online finals using Mastery Manager, and my first attempt at having students create illustrated and narrated stories using Photostory...a software that I will definitely never forget. Let's not forget the year of virtual gamification thanks to 1:1 and Kahoot, Quizizz, and Quizlet Live.

2015-2016: Gaining Confidence, Gaining Preps, Year 2
Year 2 was year 1 teaching AP. It brought about a new prep and a new opportunity to use new technologies. I learned how to use Audacity, an audio recording and editing software, and taught my students how to it as well. The opportunity presented itself to collaborate with an engineering teacher at my high school and co-teach a unit using AutoCAD.

2016-2017: The Sprint and Marathon: Year 3.
Anyone that has ever been a traveling teacher knows that it's both a daily sprint and a yearlong marathon. As far as technology goes, it was no different. Year 3 was the year of Google Classroom and eventually Google Forms. A new, hip course management system and virtual testing. How far we've come from the seemingly archaic Mastery Manager of year 1.

2017-2018: Hitting My Stride: Year 4
Editing explicit scenes out of films used in class is not only necessary, but quite an accomplishment! This year found me using my voicemail (to email) in a new way. Students recorded speaking assessments directly on my voicemail for efficient oral assessment. It also found me taking a step back to an older digital technology and learning how to use Excel to show student growth in my teacher evaluation.

    What's Next?
The German students will be taking the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics by storm via social media. After adopting an athlete, students will keep up with their social media posts and winnings...they hope.
