Technology in My Life

  • VCR

    VCR
I used plenty of VCRs back when I was younger. We would watch all of our Disney and church movies on these. We still have a lot of them in our downstairs cabinets, but we never use them anymore. Too many good memories I guess :)
  • Palm Pilot

    Palm Pilot
I never owned a palm pilot, but I definitely saw a lot of these around when I was younger and thought they were so cool! I loved see how the pen could change things on the screen.
  • Tamagotchi

    Tamagotchi
This is a toy that I loved!! You could choose an animal, mermaid, baby, etc. to take care of and see if you could keep it living. This was one of my favorite tech toys. The graphics were very minimal, but it got the job done.
  • Car Phones

    Car Phones
There were special phones that were in cars! My dad had one of these phones in his car, and I thought it was the greatest idea. It was so fun to play with it.
  • Nintendo 64

    Nintendo 64
I loved playing Nintendo 64 with my family and friends. We would play Diddy Kong Racing and Super Smash Brothers. I loved being Pikachu and trying to beat everyone!
  • Gameboy

    Gameboy
I loved playing on my new Gameboy all of my games. I especially loved playing my Pokemon red version with my main character as Charzard. I'm pretty sure I won the whole game. Nerdy I know :)
  • CD Player

    CD Player
CD players were the way to go to listen to music and have some fun dance parties. I would make up dances with my friends, and you better believed we had the CD with all the music on it.
  • Cool Phones

    Cool Phones
I remember that this was one of the coolest phones with the keyboard on the phone. I didn't have this phone, but my friend did and it was so fun to push all of the buttons.
  • Ipod

    Ipod
I got my first ipod and it was pink! I wasn't super into music at this point, but I started developing my independent music taste because of this little gadget that connected with itunes. I would get an itunes gift card for my birthday and Christmas and it was the coolest thing to get new songs.
  • iPhone

    iPhone
Now it's 2018 and we have a device that takes quality pictures, stores text and pictures, has 100's of apps, can call and message people, connect to the internet, recognize your face and fingerprint, uses a touchscreen, and much much more all in our pockets everyday. Technology has advanced huge milestones each year, and now is changing faster than ever. It will be amazing to see what comes in the future.
