Technology Generation

  • Nintendo DS

This was my very first handheld device that brought a lot of excitement into my childhood. I remember playing this everyday and having my favorite games that I’d be excited to play once I got home from school. Overall, I mostly remember feeling excited and happy to have this device. I loved it so much that I would play secretly when I was supposed to be sleeping.
  • Ipod

This was my most prized possession in elementary school. It was the only way I’d be able to contact my friends other than my home phone. It had all sorts of apps to communicate, games, music I liked, and it was fun taking pictures with my friends all the time. I remember feeling cool and occupied with this iPod because I had everything I needed at hand with more to discover.
  • iPhone 5C

My very first iPhone that lasted me a long time until I dropped it in the toilet. It was more advanced than my previous iPod and was a phone! It wasn’t my first phone, but my first iPhone which endured so much dropping and random pictures to post on my Instagram. Once again, it felt nice to have an apple product and during this time, I was making the transition to middle school.
  • Laptop

With my own money, I was able to buy myself my own laptop for school. It was a small laptop and I think it was previously used as a laptop for students to rent out. I had bought it off of amazon and it lasted me for a while until a black screen came on and never came off. I was bummed about this because now I’d have to save for another laptop.
  • Airpods

I had always wanted airpods and my brother was kind enough to get them for me for Christmas. I use them whenever I’m cleaning or running some errands. I like them a lot because I feel submerged in the music and they’re more convenient to have than wired headphones that can get caught onto anything.
