We were able to easily get ahold of people who lived far away or in other countries. They made it easier for news to travel. -
VHS Tapes (Victor Company of Japan. aka: JVC)
This invention was fun because you could watch your favorite movies on VHS tape. You could also record a show or movie onto a VHS tape. -
Computers (Charles Babbage)
Computers were a game-changer because they allowed information to be sent, and stored more easily. You could play games, and do tasks much faster than before. -
Pager (Al Gross)
The pager was used to get ahold of people. You could use the number assigned to their pager and then type in your number and it would send the message to the pager. -
Payphone (William Gray)
Payphones were used when you were away from home and needed to call someone. They allowed people to have more freedom. -
Fax Machine (Alexander Bain)
The fax machine was another way to send important documents to another location in less time. They changed the way a business did transactions and deals. -
Smartphone (IBM)
I remember when I purchased my first smartphone and how happy and excited I was to call people.
