Portable DVD Player
When I was 6 years old, my brother and I got a portable DVD player to share. We set it up in our room at our dad's apartment so we could watch movies while falling asleep. We also took it on road trips, we loved watching movies in the car! -
Release of iPhone

Nintendo DS Lite
Nintendo DS games were huge when I was in elementary/middle school. When I was in 4th grade, I got the Metallic Rose DS Lite for Christmas and still have it to this day. It was my favorite Christmas gift that year, I couldn't put it down. Photo resource:

My First Cell Phone
My first cell phone was a hand-me-down blue Samsung when I was 10 years old. The only reason I got a phone was because my brother and I started walking home from school that year, but I didn't care. It was still the coolest thing I owned, and I loved it. Photo resource:

SMART Boards Enter the Classroom
I went into the 6th grade in Fall 2010 at the new Huntington Middle School. We were the first class to go completely through the new school (6th-8th grade). When we moved locations, the classrooms were upgraded, and it was my first time in a classroom with a SMART Board. It was a great interactive experience for teachers and students! -
My First iPhone
The new iPhone 4 came out in June 2010, and my dad ended up getting one in the summer of 2011. That year for Christmas I received my dad's old iPhone (the original one). I was so excited to finally have an iPhone and be able to play games on my phone. -
My First Laptop
I got my first laptop in high school (2016) for my dual credit English course. It was a light blue HP and lasted until I was a junior in college. It got me through all of my papers and homework (only crashing a few times) and was a great first laptop. -
COVID
COVID hit the US and sent everyone in a frenzy. All schools went online, and only essential businesses were allowed to stay open. Photo resource:
